Job Purpose

As Product Marketing Manager for Higher Learning Technologies, you will develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve aggressive subscription revenue goals.

In this highly collaborative role, you will be responsible for improving user acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention of our mobile and web products. To do this, you will develop the marketing strategy for our product suite, which includes having a deep understanding of what motivates our target users, best positioning the product in the marketplace, and building initiatives to maximize both market share and customer lifetime value.

The ideal candidate will have product and channel marketing experience with a track record of growing mobile and web subscription businesses.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

  • Own the full-funnel market strategy for HLT’s mobile and web products across acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention
  • Achieve aggressive subscription revenue and attach rate goals
  • Oversee customer acquisition, determining the product subscription pricing, positioning, value proposition, launch promotion strategy, and executing multi-channel advertising
  • Create and implement innovative marketing strategies and integrated campaigns to drive product adoption and ongoing retention
  • Optimize subscription messaging across all touch points
  • Design the highest yield combinations of product, audience, offer, and creative across all marketing and advertising channels to identify high ROI opportunities
  • Aggregate, organize, and make sense of large amounts of data to ensure informed decisions
  • Develop reports to measure ongoing performance of subscription, communicating results to other team members, and utilizing that information to hone your strategies

Education + Experience

  • 4+ years of marketing experience
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related area
  • Experience working within an organization that has multiple product lines with multiple target segments
  • Keen aptitude for improving subscription performance using solid test & control fundamentals, data analysis, and identifying key business opportunities in the data
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications to analyze data, establish accurate reporting and arrive at actionable recommendations.
  • Experience applying rigorous, financially-rooted decision-making to guide development, optimization, and business efforts
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with both technical and business teams
